Before obtaining the written consent of the woman whose pregnancy age and medical and psycho-social condition allow voluntary interruption of pregnancy, the doctor or midwife shall inform her of the different methods of voluntary interruption of pregnancy and their possible complications.
The doctor or midwife will remind the woman of the possibility of meeting a person who has completed a qualifying course in marital counselling or any other qualified person in an establishment or organisation approved under the conditions set out in article L. 2212-4.
The doctor or midwife provides the woman with full information on contraception and sexually transmitted diseases.
