Article R2213-25-2 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The provisions of Articles R. 2213-25 and R. 2213-25-1 do not impede the free movement of coffins legally manufactured or marketed in another Member State of the European Union, in another State party to the Agreement establishing the European Economic Area, or in Turkey, which meet a level of strength, watertightness, biodegradability and combustibility equivalent to that defined by the decree provided for in I of Article R. 2213-25.

Les dispositions des articles R. 2213-25 et R. 2213-25-1 ne font pas obstacle à la libre circulation des cercueils légalement fabriqués ou commercialisés dans un autre Etat membre de l’Union européenne, dans un autre Etat partie à l’accord instituant l’Espace économique européen, ou en Turquie, qui satisfont à un niveau de résistance, d’étanchéité, de biodégradabilité et de combustibilité équivalent à celui défini par l’arrêté prévu au I de l’article R. 2213-25.
