The highest, north-facing sites are preferred. These must be chosen on the basis of a report drawn up by the hydrogeologist. This report gives an opinion on the risk that the highest water level of the free surface water table could be less than one metre from the bottom of the graves.
They are surrounded by a fence at least 1.50 metres high.
This fence may be made of wire mesh supported, from 3 metres to 3 metres, by cast iron or reinforced cement posts; in this case, it is reinforced by a screen of thorny or evergreen shrubs.
Planting shall be carried out taking suitable precautions so as not to impede the circulation of air.
