The athlete may apply for Provisional Suspension under article L. 232-23-4 within ten days of waiving the B Sample analysis, notification of the B Sample analysis report or notification of any anti-doping rule violation. He may apply for provisional suspension after the expiry of this period provided he has not taken part in a sporting event since that date.
Other persons may apply for provisional suspension no later than ten days from receipt of the information provided for in article R. 232-88.
Decisions imposing Provisional Suspension, requests for Provisional Suspension and decisions ending Provisional Suspension are notified by the French Anti-Doping Agency, by any means, to the World Anti-Doping Agency, the International Federation concerned and, where applicable, to the foreign National Anti-Doping Organisation concerned as well as to the International Olympic Committee or the International Paralympic Committee when the decision may have an effect in relation to the Olympic or Paralympic Games, in particular by affecting the possibility of participating in them. Subject to the requirements of an investigation or disciplinary procedure, decisions and requests concerning provisional suspensions shall be notified to the sports federations and professional leagues concerned by any means that can be used to prove receipt.
