Housing applications are submitted, in duplicate against receipt, to a borough town hall or to the town hall of the commune. Within one month of the application being lodged, the arrondissement mayor forwards one of the copies of the application to the mayor of the municipality.
The mayor of the municipality periodically sends all the arrondissement mayors and the municipal committee an updated list of housing applications, after eliminating double counting and applications satisfied since the previous list or lists were drawn up.
Housing is allocated or proposed by the mayor of the municipality, the borough mayors or the municipal committee to the applicants appearing on the list or lists referred to above, on the basis of the programmes brought into service and vacant housing and, where applicable, in accordance with the conditions defined in application of article R. 2511-7.
