Article R2511-13 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Housing applications are submitted, in duplicate against receipt, to a borough town hall or to the town hall of the commune. Within one month of the application being lodged, the arrondissement mayor forwards one of the copies of the application to the mayor of the municipality.

The mayor of the municipality periodically sends all the arrondissement mayors and the municipal committee an updated list of housing applications, after eliminating double counting and applications satisfied since the previous list or lists were drawn up.

Housing is allocated or proposed by the mayor of the municipality, the borough mayors or the municipal committee to the applicants appearing on the list or lists referred to above, on the basis of the programmes brought into service and vacant housing and, where applicable, in accordance with the conditions defined in application of article R. 2511-7.

Les demandes de logements sont déposées, en double exemplaire contre récépissé, dans une mairie d’arrondissement ou à la mairie de la commune. Dans le mois suivant le dépôt de la demande, le maire d’arrondissement transmet au maire de la commune l’un des exemplaires de la demande.

Le maire de la commune adresse périodiquement à tous les maires d’arrondissement ainsi qu’à la commission municipale la liste des demandes de logement, mise à jour, après élimination des doubles comptes et des demandes satisfaites depuis l’établissement de la ou des listes précédentes.

Les logements sont attribués ou proposés par le maire de la commune, les maires d’arrondissement ou la commission municipale aux candidats figurant sur la ou les listes visées ci-dessus, en fonction des programmes mis en service et des logements vacants et, le cas échéant, suivant les conditions définies en application de l’article R. 2511-7.
