The health and medical rescue service of the Marseille marine fire brigade participates, within its area of competence, in the performance of the missions provided for in article L. 1424-2.
To this end, it contributes in particular to emergency medical aid as defined by article L. 6311-1 of the public health code.
The health and medical aid service also provides aptitude, hygiene and preventive, emergency and care medicine for the battalion’s military or civilian personnel under contract.
It takes part in training personnel in first aid.
Civilian doctors may provide assistance in carrying out the missions entrusted to the army doctors responsible for running the battalion’s health and medical rescue service.
