Article R322-44 of the French Insurance Code

Subject to the provisions of articles R. 322-99 and R. 322-158, mutual insurance companies must have a formation fund of at least :

-400,000 euros for the operations referred to in Articles 10 to 15, 20, 21, 22, 24 and 25 of Article R. 321-1 and for reinsurance operations;

-240,000 for operations in classes other than those listed above.

Sous réserve des dispositions des articles R. 322-99 et R. 322-158, les sociétés d’assurance mutuelles doivent avoir un fonds d’établissement au moins égal à :

-400 000 euros pour pratiquer les opérations mentionnées aux 10 à 15, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25 de l’article R. 321-1 ainsi que les opérations de réassurance ;

-240 000 euros pour pratiquer les opérations entrant dans d’autres branches que celles énumérées ci-dessus.
