Article R426-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When applying for a temporary or multi-annual residence permit under the conditions mentioned in article L. 426-11, foreign nationals holding a resident permit bearing the words “long-term resident-EU” granted in another European Union Member State must submit their application within three months of entering France.

Lorsqu’il sollicite la délivrance d’une carte de séjour temporaire ou pluriannuelle dans les conditions mentionnées à l’article L. 426-11, l’étranger titulaire de la carte de résident portant la mention ” résident de longue durée-UE ” accordée dans un autre Etat membre de l’Union européenne doit présenter sa demande dans les trois mois qui suivent son entrée en France.
