Article R*4433-24 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The regional cooperation funds established by article L. 4433-4-6 contribute to the integration of Guadeloupe, Reunion and Mayotte in their geographical environment. They contribute to economic, social and cultural cooperation initiatives with the countries in their region.

The Prefect of the region and, in Mayotte, the Prefect of Mayotte, is the secondary authorising officer.
