Article R4743-1 of the French Labour Code

Employing a pregnant woman, a woman who has recently given birth or a nursing mother in prohibited work, in disregard of article L. 4152-1 and the decrees adopted for its application, is punishable by a fine of the fifth class.
Repeated offences are punishable in accordance with articles 132-11 and 132-15 of the French Penal Code.

Le fait d’employer une femme enceinte, venant d’accoucher ou allaitant à des travaux interdits, en méconnaissance de l’article L. 4152-1 et des décrets pris pour son application, est puni de l’amende prévue pour les contraventions de la cinquième classe.
La récidive est réprimée conformément aux articles 132-11 et 132-15 du code pénal.
