Article R512-14 of the French Insurance Code

I.-The professional indemnity insurance contract provided for in article L. 512-6 must cover the territory of the European Community and that of the other States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. It includes obligations for insurance companies which may not be less than those defined in an order issued by the Minister for the Economy.

II – A contract for which cover takes effect on 1st March for a period of twelve months is tacitly renewed on 1st January each year.

III – The insurer will issue a professional indemnity insurance certificate to the insured person.

IV – Any suspension of cover, denunciation of tacit renewal or termination of the insurance contract must be notified immediately by the insurer to the body referred to in article R. 512-3.

Article R512-14

I.-Le contrat d’assurance de responsabilité civile professionnelle prévu à l’article L. 512-6 doit couvrir le territoire de la Communauté européenne et celui des autres Etats parties à l’accord sur l’Espace économique européen. Il comporte pour les entreprises d’assurance des obligations qui ne peuvent pas être inférieures à celles définies dans un arrêté du ministre chargé de l’économie.

II.-Le contrat dont les garanties prennent effet au 1er mars pour une durée de douze mois est reconduit tacitement au 1er janvier de chaque année.

III.-L’assureur délivre à la personne garantie une attestation d’assurance de responsabilité civile professionnelle.

IV.-Toute suspension de garantie, dénonciation de la tacite reconduction ou résiliation du contrat d’assurance est portée sans délai par l’assureur à la connaissance de l’organisme mentionné à l’article R. 512-3.
