Article R5134-38 of the French Labour Code

As soon as the application for work placement assistance is submitted, the employer appoints a tutor from among the employees who are qualified and willing to take on this role.

The tutor must have at least two years’ professional experience. Exceptionally, with the authorisation of the authority awarding the aid, the employer may provide the tutoring himself. The tutor may not supervise more than three employees on an employment support contract.

Dès la transmission de la demande d’aide à l’insertion professionnelle, l’employeur désigne un tuteur parmi les salariés qualifiés et volontaires pour assumer cette fonction.

Ce dernier doit justifier d’une expérience professionnelle d’au moins deux ans. Exceptionnellement, sur autorisation de l’autorité qui attribue l’aide, l’employeur peut assurer lui-même le tutorat. Le tuteur ne peut suivre plus de trois salariés en contrat d’accompagnement dans l’emploi.
