The holder of the authorisation for medicine has at its disposal :
1° Full-time and part-time hospitalisation facilities, adapted to the patient’s age and autonomy. By way of derogation, the authorisation may be granted to an applicant who has only one form of hospitalisation on his site, provided either that he holds another authorisation for medicine offering the missing form of hospitalisation on a nearby site, or that he enters into an agreement with another holder offering the missing form of hospitalisation located on the same site, or failing that, on a nearby site;
2° An organisation enabling patients to be admitted on a scheduled basis or, when their state of health so requires and at the express request of a doctor, on direct admission, particularly in the case of elderly patients, patients with multiple pathologies or those at risk of losing their independence. To this end, it sets up direct exchanges with doctors and establishments in the area.
If the nature of the care provided by the authorised facility and the associated medical and paramedical skills do not allow for part-time hospitalisation, authorisation may be granted, if necessary for a limited period, if the holder draws up an agreement with a facility that meets the requirement set out in the first sentence of 1°.
