I. – The holder of a medical authorisation to care for adult patients must organise access to geriatric or multidisciplinary medical expertise, on site or by agreement, within a timeframe that is compatible with the safety of care.
II. – In conjunction with emergency medicine, general practitioners, the medico-social sector and the support systems for coordinating complex healthcare pathways mentioned in article L. 6327-1, it helps to ensure that elderly people who are dependent or at risk of losing their autonomy and who require medical care are cared for in an appropriate and continuous manner.
