The establishment organises the referral of patients who do not require treatment by the emergency department to another care structure or to a social or medico-social structure, in accordance with protocols defined in advance by the managers of these structures.

This organisation is the subject of an agreement between the establishments concerned, which specifies the procedures and conditions for referring patients, as well as the procedures for their regular medical and administrative assessment.

L’établissement organise l’orientation du patient ne nécessitant pas une prise en charge par la structure des urgences vers une autre structure de soins ou vers une structure sociale ou vers une structure médico-sociale, selon des protocoles préalablement définis entre les responsables de ces structures.

Cette organisation fait l’objet d’une convention entre les établissements concernés, qui précise les modalités et les conditions d’orientation du patient, ainsi que les modalités de son évaluation médicale et administrative régulière.
