Article R6225-9 of the French Labour Code

In application of article L. 6225-4, the Labour Inspectorate supervisory officer proposes that the performance of the apprenticeship contract be suspended, after carrying out, where circumstances allow, an investigation involving both parties. It informs the employer without delay and sends this proposal to the Regional Director for Business, Competition, Consumer Affairs, Labour and Employment.

The latter makes a decision without delay and, where appropriate, as soon as the adversarial investigation has been completed.

En application de l’article L. 6225-4, l’agent de contrôle de l’inspection du travail propose la suspension de l’exécution du contrat d’apprentissage, après qu’il ait été procédé, lorsque les circonstances le permettent, à une enquête contradictoire. Il en informe sans délai l’employeur et adresse cette proposition au directeur régional des entreprises, de la concurrence, de la consommation, du travail et de l’emploi.

Ce dernier se prononce sans délai et, le cas échéant, dès la fin de l’enquête contradictoire.
