The provisions of Chapter VII of Title V of Book V of the Environment Code relating to pressure vessels are applicable to disinfection equipment.

The use of toxic gases appearing on a prohibition list established by order of the Minister for Health, made on the advice of the High Council for Public Health, in the destruction of insects and rats in premises used for residential or other purposes, or in the disinfection of the said premises, is prohibited.

An order by the Minister for Health establishes and updates the list of departments where conditions have been identified which give rise to a risk of development of human diseases transmitted by insects and which constitute a threat to the health of the population. Healthcare professionals and the biologist-responsible and biologist-co-responsible for medical biology mentioned in Book II of Part Six of this Code, practising outside healthcare establishments, are responsible for preventing all infections linked to their preventive, diagnostic and care activities.
