Paragraph 1: National guarantee fund for agricultural disasters.

Supervision of the operations carried out by the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance on behalf of the Fonds National de Garantie des Calamités Agricoles is exercised under the same conditions as supervision of the other operations of the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance.

The available assets of the Fonds national de garantie des calamités agricoles are placed with the caisse centrale de réassurance in the assets mentioned in article R. 332-2. These assets are subject to the limitations set out in articles R. 332-3 and R. 332-3-1; however, for the purpose of calculating these limitations, the amount of each category of assets is added to the amount of the fund’s available assets.

The costs incurred by the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance in managing the Fonds National de Garantie des Calamités Agricoles (National Guarantee Fund for Agricultural Disasters) are reimbursed to the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance after the end of each financial year. Advances on these reimbursements may be granted.

The operations of the national guarantee fund for agricultural disasters are recorded in terms of both income and expenditure in separate accounts kept by the central reinsurance fund. An order of the Minister for the Economy and Finance determines the list and form of the accounts recording these operations, as well as the way in which their results are centralised.

For the application of 1° of article 13 of law no. 64-706 of 10 July 1964, the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance is responsible for compiling the statistics required to carry out the information and prevention activities entrusted to the Fonds National de Garantie des Calamités Agricoles.
