Section 5: Special provisions for certain elections

Each Central Council elects the representatives of its section to the National Council on the date mentioned in article D. 4233-7, after having elected its executive committee.

Before the election takes place, the pairs of candidates and their alternates send or hand in their nomination papers and any circulars to the President of their Central Council, who forwards them to the members of the Central Council.

The election takes place at a meeting of the Central Council, by secret ballot. Elected full members and appointed members present and voting take part. In the first and second rounds, an absolute majority of the voting members of the Board is required. In the third ballot, a relative majority is sufficient.

Notwithstanding the provisions of articles D. 4233-24 to D. 4233-26, the tandem representing section E on the council is elected by post or electronically by all the full members of the overseas pharmacists’ delegations, in accordance with the procedures set out in this chapter.
