The National Labour Inspection Council elects its Chairman from among its members at each triennial renewal. If the Chairman is unable to complete his term of office, resigns or for any other reason, his replacement is appointed under the same conditions for the remainder of the term.
The secretariat of the National Labour Inspection Council is provided by the Director General of Labour or his representative.
The duties of member of the National Labour Inspection Council are not remunerated. Travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with decree no. 2006-781 of 3 July 2006 setting the terms and conditions for the payment of expenses incurred by the temporary travel of civil servants of the French State.
