To promote nationwide coverage of the professions mentioned in the first sentence of paragraph 1 of article L. 444-1 and access to the law for as many people as possible, the interprofessional fund for access to the law and to justice (FIADJ) distributes aid for the installation or maintenance of these professionals in the geographical areas mentioned in Article R. 444-26.

Installation aid may only be granted in respect of services subject to tariffs and for a maximum period of thirty-six months following that of installation.

An order of the Minister of Justice will determine the geographical areas in which aid may be granted to maintain or set up a practice. The areas referred to in the previous paragraph are defined in particular on the basis of the number of established professionals, the number of plans to set up and the needs identified.
Installation and maintenance grants take the form of subsidies of a fixed amount paid for each service meeting the following conditions: 1° Their fee is proportional; 2° They relate to a monetary base below a threshold set, for each profession concerned, by joint order of the Minister of Justice and the Minister responsible for the budget, which does not exceed €80,000;
Installation and maintenance grants are awarded up to: 1° A ceiling per service defined, for each profession concerned, by the order provided for in 2° of Article R. 444-27, and which does not exceed €100; 2° An overall ceiling per professional of €50,000 per calendar year.
Installation aid and maintenance aid cannot be combined for the same service.
For the same category of benefits, the amount of subsidy paid per benefit for the same type of assistance, whether for setting up or maintaining, is identical for all beneficiaries.
