The aptitude test is organised for the whole of France, under the authority of the Prefect of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, by the Ecole nationale des sports de montagne, site of the Ecole nationale de ski et d’alpinisme, at the places and dates set annually by the permanent mountaineering section of the training and employment commission of the Conseil supérieur des sports de montagne.
