Chapter III: CONDITIONS FOR RENEWAL OF RESIDENCE PERMITS

A foreign national applying for the renewal of a temporary residence permit shall submit, in support of their application, the documents required for the first issue and proving that they continue to meet the conditions required for the latter as well as, where applicable, the specific documents required when renewing the permit in accordance with the list set by order annexed to this code.

A foreign national who has already been admitted to reside in France and who is applying for the renewal of a multiannual residence permit must submit, in support of their application, the documents required for the first issue of a temporary residence permit corresponding to the reason for residence of the multiannual residence permit they hold and showing that they continue to satisfy the conditions required for the latter, as…

For the application of the first paragraph of article L. 433-3, foreign nationals may prove that they have taken steps to renew the resident card they hold by presenting a certificate of submission of their renewal application. This certificate is issued by the services that received the application. It is equivalent to a summons to present the residence permit applied for. .
