Title III: FINANCIAL AID FOR CREATION AND DIFFUSION ON DIGITAL PLATFORMS

Selective financial aid is awarded to support the creation and broadcasting of audiovisual works intended for initial free public distribution on digital platforms, as well as the emergence of new talent on these platforms.

Audiovisual works that are original French-language and that are intended to be made available to the public for the first time on a digital platform are eligible for support for creation and distribution on digital platforms.

The same project may not receive both aid for creation and distribution on digital platforms and other aid awarded by the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.

The granting of aid is subject to the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty, in particular those provided for in Chapter I and Article 54 of Section 11 relating to aid schemes for audiovisual works. The beneficiaries of the grants are:1° Natural persons who are French nationals or equivalent;2° Legal entities that are production companies established in France.

Recipients of aid must:1° Either have at least 10,000 subscribers on a single digital channel at the date of the application for aid;2° Or have directed or produced a work that has won a prize at a festival on the list annexed to this book over the last five years.
