Article 728-26 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

No transit request is required when the transfer is made by air without a scheduled stopover. However, in the event of an accidental landing on the territory of a Member State of the European Union, the Minister of Justice shall provide the competent authority of that State with the certificate referred to in Article 728-12 within seventy-two hours.

Aucune demande de transit n’est requise lorsque le transfèrement s’effectue par un moyen de transport aérien sans escale prévue. Toutefois, en cas d’atterrissage fortuit sur le territoire d’un Etat membre de l’Union européenne, le ministre de la justice fournit à l’autorité compétente de cet Etat le certificat mentionné à l’article 728-12 dans un délai de soixante-douze heures.
