Article D131-2 of the French Sports Code

Persons subject to the provisions of articles L. 212-9 and L. 322-1 are informed by the sports federations that they may be subject to a control relating to compliance with their good repute obligations. These checks are carried out by government departments in accordance with the provisions of articles 706-53-7 and 776 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

To this end, sports federations collect the following information relating to the identity of persons subject to the provisions of articles L. 212-9 and L. 322-1: surname, first name, title, date and place of birth. In addition, when these persons were born abroad, the surnames and first names of the father and mother are also part of the information to be collected.

Les personnes soumises aux dispositions des articles L. 212-9 et L. 322-1 sont informées par les fédérations sportives qu’elles peuvent faire l’objet d’un contrôle portant sur le respect de leurs obligations d’honorabilité. Ce contrôle est réalisé par les services de l’Etat dans le cadre des dispositions des articles 706-53-7 et 776 du code de procédure pénale.


A cette fin, les fédérations sportives recueillent les informations suivantes relatives à l’identité des personnes soumises aux dispositions des articles L. 212-9 et L. 322-1 : le nom, le prénom, la civilité, la date et le lieu de naissance. En outre, lorsque ces personnes sont nées à l’étranger, les noms et prénoms du père et de la mère font également partie des informations à recueillir.
