Article D1421-7 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The rules governing the transfer of ownership free of charge of movable objects resulting from a preventive archaeology excavation to a territorial authority or group of authorities on whose territory the objects were discovered are set by the provisions of articles R. 523-67 and R. 523-68 of the Heritage Code.
