Article D6124-119 of the French Public Health Code

The medical team of a paediatric continuous monitoring unit is made up of doctors who satisfy one of the two conditions below:

1° Be qualified specialists in paediatrics ;

2° Be qualified specialists or competent in anaesthesia-intensive care or qualified specialists in medical intensive care;

These doctors have experience in paediatric intensive care.

The provisions of the previous paragraph do not apply to paediatric intensive care units specialising in organ transplants or paediatric oncology.

L’équipe médicale d’une unité de surveillance continue pédiatrique est composée de médecins satisfaisant à l’une des deux conditions ci-dessous :

1° Etre qualifié spécialiste en pédiatrie ;

2° Etre qualifié spécialiste ou compétent en anesthésie-réanimation ou qualifié spécialiste en réanimation médicale ;

Ces médecins disposent d’une expérience en réanimation pédiatrique.

Les dispositions de l’alinéa précédent ne sont pas applicables aux unités de surveillance continue pédiatrique spécialisées en transplantation d’organes ou en cancérologie pédiatrique.
