Article L212-2 of the French Sports Code

When the activity mentioned in the first paragraph of article L. 212-1 is practised in a specific environment requiring compliance with special safety measures, it can only be practised with the possession of a diploma. This diploma, registered on the list mentioned in III of article L. 212-1, is awarded by the administrative authority as part of a training programme coordinated by the services of the Minister for Sport and provided by establishments under his control for the activities in question.

A Conseil d’Etat decree sets the list of activities mentioned in the first paragraph and specifies, for this category of activities, the specific conditions and procedures for validating acquired experience.
