Article L221-4 of the French Consumer Code

The provisions of this chapter shall apply to contracts for the supply of water, gas or electricity where they are not packaged in a delimited volume or in a specific quantity, and to the supply of district heating.

They also apply to contracts for the supply of digital content without a physical medium.

Article L221-4

Les dispositions du présent chapitre s’appliquent aux contrats portant sur la fourniture d’eau, de gaz ou d’électricité lorsqu’ils ne sont pas conditionnés dans un volume délimité ou en quantité déterminée ainsi que sur la fourniture de chauffage urbain.

Elles s’appliquent également aux contrats portant sur la fourniture de contenu numérique sans support matériel.
