Article L232-5 of the French Consumer Code

The consumer may not be deprived of the protection afforded by the provisions adopted pursuant to Directive 2008/122/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 January 2009 on the protection of consumers in respect of certain aspects of timeshare, long-term holiday product, resale and exchange contracts where the contract is governed by the law of a Member State of the European Union.

Le consommateur ne peut être privé de la protection que lui assurent les dispositions prises en application de la directive 2008/122/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 14 janvier 2009 relative à la protection des consommateurs en ce qui concerne certains aspects des contrats d’utilisation de biens à temps partagé, des contrats de produits de vacances à long terme et des contrats de revente et d’échange lorsque le contrat est régi par la législation d’un Etat membre de l’Union européenne.
