Article L715-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code

A guarantee mark is a mark so designated when filed and capable of distinguishing goods or services for which the material, method of manufacture or performance, quality, accuracy or other characteristics are guaranteed.

The provisions of this Book shall apply to guarantee marks subject to the special provisions of this Section.

Une marque de garantie est une marque ainsi désignée lors de son dépôt et propre à distinguer les produits ou les services pour lesquels la matière, le mode de fabrication ou de prestation, la qualité, la précision ou d’autres caractéristiques sont garantis.

Les dispositions du présent livre sont applicables aux marques de garantie sous réserve des dispositions particulières prévues dans la présente section.
