Article R132-3 of the French Insurance Code

Life insurance contracts (with or without counter-insurance) or capitalisation contracts must indicate the charges levied by the company. These charges may be denominated in the currency of the contract or calculated as a percentage of the premiums, mathematical provisions, guaranteed capital or surrender value.

Other contracts with surrender values must indicate the charges levied in the event of surrender.

Les contrats d’assurance en cas de vie (avec ou sans contre-assurance) ou de capitalisation doivent indiquer les frais prélevés par l’entreprise. Ces frais peuvent être libellés dans la monnaie du contrat ou calculés en pourcentage des primes, des provisions mathématiques, du capital garanti ou du rachat effectué.

Les autres contrats comportant des valeurs de rachat doivent indiquer les frais prélevés en cas de rachat.
