Article R1333-8 of the French Public Health Code

I. – The deliberate dilution of radioactive substances, including waste, materials and effluents contaminated by such substances, in order to comply with a requirement, a threshold or a limit is prohibited.

II. – A specific authorisation for dilution may be issued, by way of derogation, by the competent authority for the purposes of reuse or recycling.

II. – Une autorisation spécifique de dilution peut être délivrée, à titre dérogatoire, par l’autorité compétente à des fins de réutilisation ou de recyclage.
