Article R211-32 of the French Insurance Code

If the insurer has received no reply or an incomplete reply within six weeks of the submission of the correspondence by which, having been informed of the consolidation of the victim’s condition, it has asked the victim for the information mentioned in article R. 211-37 that it needs to make the offer of compensation, the period provided for in the fourth paragraph of article L. 211-9 is suspended from the expiry of the six-week period until receipt of the reply containing the information requested.

Si l’assureur n’a reçu aucune réponse ou qu’une réponse incomplète dans les six semaines de la présentation de la correspondance par laquelle, informé de la consolidation de l’état de la victime, il a demandé à cette dernière ceux des renseignements mentionnés à l’article R. 211-37 qui lui sont nécessaires pour présenter l’offre d’indemnité, le délai prévu au quatrième alinéa de l’article L. 211-9 est suspendu à compter de l’expiration du délai de six semaines jusqu’à la réception de la réponse contenant les renseignements demandés.
