Article R217-8 of the French Consumer Code

The application shall be submitted on a form and shall include all the information and supporting documents needed to assess whether the trader is covered by the provisions of article L. 217-24.

If the application is incomplete, the competent directorate shall ask the applicant to provide the necessary additional information.
If the application is incomplete, the competent directorate shall invite the applicant, in the same manner as the application, to provide the necessary additional information.

Where documentary and on-site inspections are required, they are carried out by the officers referred to in Article L. 511-3.

La demande est présentée sur un formulaire et comprend toutes les informations et pièces justificatives permettant d’apprécier si le professionnel relève des dispositions de l’article L. 217-24.

Si la demande est incomplète, la direction compétente invite son auteur, dans les mêmes formes que la demande, à fournir les éléments complémentaires nécessaires.

Lorsque des constatations sur pièces et sur place sont nécessaires, elles sont réalisées par les agents mentionnés à l’article L. 511-3.
