Article R2222-2 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The company shall provide the agents appointed by the mayor, as well as the Inspectorate General of Finance and the Inspectorate General of Administration at the Ministry of the Interior, with all books and documents required for the audit of its accounts.

The communication shall be made on site at the company’s registered office, at times and within timeframes that are mutually agreed. However, these deadlines may in no case be shorter than those granted by law to the statutory auditors of public limited companies.

L’entreprise communique aux agents désignés par le maire ainsi qu’à l’inspection générale des finances et à l’inspection générale de l’administration au ministère de l’intérieur, tous livres et documents nécessaires à la vérification de ses comptes.

La communication est faite sur place au siège de l’entreprise, aux époques et dans les délais qui sont arrêtés d’un commun accord. Toutefois, ces délais ne peuvent en aucun cas être inférieurs à ceux que la loi accorde aux commissaires aux comptes des sociétés anonymes.
