Article R224-24 of the French Consumer Code

I.-For the application of the provisions of Article R. 224-22, parts from the circular economy mean:

1° Components and elements that are marketed by the ELV centres mentioned in 7° of Article R. 543-154 of the Environment Code or by facilities authorised in accordance with the provisions of Article R. 543-155 of the same code, after having been prepared with a view to their re-use within the meaning of the provisions of Article L. 541-1-1 of this code;

2° Components and elements reconditioned in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications marketed as “standard exchange” as defined in article 4 of decree no. 78-993 of 4 October 1978 taken for the application of the law of 1 August 1905 on fraud and falsification with regard to products or services concerning motor vehicles.

II.-.The components and elements listed in I are marketed subject to compliance with the specific regulations governing them, as well as the general safety obligation defined by article L. 421-3.

Article R224-24

I.-Pour l’application des dispositions de l’article R. 224-22, on entend par pièces issues de l’économie circulaire :

1° Les composants et éléments qui sont commercialisés par les centres VHU mentionnés au 7° de l’article R. 543-154 du code de l’environnement ou par des installations autorisées conformément aux dispositions de l’article R. 543-155 du même code, après avoir été préparés en vue de leur réutilisation au sens des dispositions de l’article L. 541-1-1 de ce code ;

2° Les composants et éléments remis en état conformément aux spécifications du fabricant commercialisés sous la mention “ échange standard ” telle que définie à l’article 4 du décret n° 78-993 du 4 octobre 1978 pris pour l’application de la loi du 1er août 1905 sur les fraudes et falsifications en matière de produits ou de services en ce qui concerne les véhicules automobiles.

II.-Les composants et éléments énumérés au I sont commercialisés sous réserve de respecter la réglementation spécifique les régissant, ainsi que l’obligation générale de sécurité définie par l’article L. 421-3.
