Article R310-5 of the French Insurance Code

Securities of any kind, prospectuses, posters, circulars, plates, printed matter and all other documents intended for distribution to the public or published by a company mentioned in 1°, 3° and 4° of article L. 310-2 must bear, after the name or company name, the following words in uniform characters: “company governed by the insurance code”. They must not contain any reference to State control, or any statement likely to mislead as to the true nature of the company or the actual size of its commitments.

Les titres de toute nature, les prospectus, les affiches, les circulaires, les plaques, les imprimés et tous les autres documents destinés à être distribués au public ou publiés par une entreprise mentionnée aux 1°, 3° et 4° de l’article L. 310-2 doivent porter, à la suite du nom ou de la raison sociale, la mention ci-après en caractères uniformes : ” entreprise régie par le code des assurances “. Ils ne doivent contenir aucune allusion au contrôle de l’Etat, ni aucune assertion susceptible d’induire en erreur sur la véritable nature de l’entreprise ou l’importance réelle de ses engagements.
