Article R4626-29 of the French Labour Code

The employee is entitled to a resumption examination by the occupational physician:

1° After maternity leave ;

2° After an absence due to an occupational illness ;

3° After an absence of at least thirty days due to an accident at work, non-occupational illness or accident or, at the initiative of the occupational physician, for an absence of less than thirty days.

The resumption examination is organised within eight days of the employee resuming work.

L’agent bénéficie d’un examen de reprise par le médecin du travail :

1° Après un congé de maternité ;

2° Après une absence pour cause de maladie professionnelle ;

3° Après une absence d’au moins trente jours pour cause d’accident du travail, de maladie ou d’accident non professionnel ou, à l’initiative du médecin du travail, pour une absence d’une durée inférieure à trente jours.

L’examen de reprise est organisé dans un délai de huit jours à compter de la reprise du travail par l’agent.
