Article R512-15 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

Advances and loans to the Regional Banks also become due and payable if repayments are not made within three months, except in exceptional circumstances approved in each case by the Board of Directors of the central body of Crédit Agricole.

For the duration of the delay, repayments due and not made bear interest in favour of the Central Body of Crédit Agricole at a rate set at 5% per annum. If the delay exceeds one year, interest is capitalised in accordance witharticle 1343-2 of the French Civil Code.

Les avances et les prêts aux caisses régionales deviennent également exigibles à défaut de paiement des remboursements dus dans un délai de trois mois, sauf circonstances exceptionnelles admises pour chaque cas par le conseil d’administration de l’organe central du Crédit agricole.

Pendant toute la durée du retard, les remboursements dus et non effectués portent intérêt au profit de l’organe central du Crédit agricole à un taux fixé à 5 % l’an. Si le retard excède une année, les intérêts se capitalisent dans les formes prévues à l’article 1343-2 du code civil.
