I.-The standardised information document on the insurance product referred to in article L. 112-2, as well as any other information provided by a distributor pursuant to articles L. 521-1 to L. 521-3 and articles L. 522-3 and L. 522-4, are communicated to the policyholder or member in a clear, accurate and non-misleading manner.
If, pursuant to the provisions of article L. 521-6, this information is communicated by means of a durable medium other than paper, or an Internet site, a paper copy is provided free of charge to the subscriber or member at his request.
The distributor verifies that the provision of information on a durable medium other than paper, or by means of an Internet site, is appropriate to its commercial transactions with the subscriber or member. The provision by the subscriber or member of an electronic address for this purpose, the validity of which is verified by the distributor, constitutes evidence in this respect.
II – The provisions of article L. 112-2-1 apply to pre-contractual information provided to policyholders or members in the case of distance marketing of a contract. In addition, where the insurance contract has been concluded at the request of the policyholder or member using a distance technique that does not allow information to be transmitted on paper or another durable medium, the distributor shall make the information relating to this contract available to the policyholder or member on paper or any other durable medium to which he has easy access, immediately after the conclusion of the contract.
