Article R531-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

All correspondence sent by post to asylum seekers is sent to the address at which they have elected domicile pursuant to article L. 551-7.
Asylum seekers with a stable address are required, in the event of a change of address, to inform the French Office for Immigration and Integration without delay. Failing this, all correspondence sent to the last known address is deemed to have been notified to the addressee.

Toute correspondance transmise par voie postale au demandeur d’asile est envoyée à l’adresse à laquelle il a élu domicile en application de l’article L. 551-7.
Le demandeur d’asile disposant d’un domicile stable est tenu, en cas de changement d’adresse, d’en informer sans délai l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration. A défaut, toute correspondance faite à la dernière adresse connue est réputée notifiée à son destinataire.
