Article R5424-5 of the French Labour Code

For the purposes of entitlement to compensation, the total duration of salaried activities completed by the same worker for employers covered by Articles L. 5422-13 or L. 5424-1 is taken into account.

Account is also taken of periods during which the employment relationship is suspended and during which employees receive compensation in application of the statutory provisions applicable to the employees concerned or the social security scheme to which these employees belong, as the case may be. Periods of suspension of the employment relationship during which staff are neither paid nor compensated are not taken into account.

Pour l’ouverture des droits à indemnisation, la durée totale des activités salariées accomplies par un même travailleur pour le compte d’employeurs relevant des articles L. 5422-13 ou L. 5424-1 est prise en compte.

Il est également tenu compte des périodes de suspension de la relation de travail durant lesquelles les personnels sont indemnisés en application, selon le cas, des dispositions statutaires applicables aux personnels concernés ou du régime de sécurité sociale dont relèvent ces personnels. Les périodes de suspension de la relation de travail durant lesquelles les personnels ne sont ni rémunérés ni indemnisés ne sont pas prises en compte.
