Article R6123-130 of the French Public Health Code

The “interventional rhythmology” modality comprises the following entries:

1° Option A, comprising, in adults, interventional diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and procedures for fitting single and dual chamber pace makers with leads;

2° Option B, comprising, in adults, in addition to the procedures authorised in option A, procedures for right atrial and atrioventricular ablation, and for fitting defibrillators and multisite pacemakers;

3° Category C, including, in addition to the procedures authorised under category B, atrial ablation procedures with a transeptal approach, ventricular ablation procedures and all rhythmology procedures performed on children without complex congenital cardiopathy;

4° Category D, including, in addition to the procedures authorised under category C, procedures with a high risk of cardiac or vascular injury and rhythmology procedures performed on patients with complex congenital cardiopathy.

II.The “congenital cardiopathies excluding rhythmology” modality comprises the following entries:

1° Entry A, comprising procedures for the management of inter-atrial septal defects, closure of the ductus arteriosus, dilatation of pulmonary valve stenosis, diagnostic catheterisation for congenital cardiopathies;

2° Option B, including, in addition to the procedures authorised in option A, any dilatation procedure, any stent or intracardiac device placement, any procedure on the atrial or ventricular septum.

La modalité “ rythmologie interventionnelle ” comprend les mentions suivantes :


1° Mention A, comprenant, chez l’adulte, les actes interventionnels d’électrophysiologie diagnostique et les actes de poses de pace maker mono et double chambre avec sonde ;


2° Mention B, comprenant, chez l’adulte, en sus des actes autorisés en mention A, les actes d’ablation atriale droite et atrioventriculaire, de poses de défibrillateurs et de stimulateurs multisites ;


3° Mention C, comprenant, en sus des actes autorisés en mention B, les actes d’ablation atriale avec abord transeptal, d’ablation ventriculaire et tous les actes de rythmologie réalisés chez un enfant hors cardiopathie congénitale complexe ;


4° Mention D, comprenant, en sus des actes autorisés en type C, les actes à haut risque de plaie cardiaque ou vasculaire et les actes de rythmologie réalisés chez un patient ayant une cardiopathie congénitale complexe.


II.-La modalité “ cardiopathies congénitales hors rythmologie ” comprend les mentions suivantes :


1° Mention A, comprenant les actes de prise en charge des anomalies du cloisonnement inter atrial, fermeture du canal artériel, dilatation de sténose valvulaire pulmonaire, cathétérisme diagnostique des cardiopathies congénitales ;


2° Mention B, comprenant, en sus des actes autorisés en mention A, tout geste de dilatation, toute pose de stent ou de dispositif intracardiaque, toute intervention sur septum atrial ou ventriculaire.
