Article R6123-190 of the French Public Health Code

The holder of the “adult psychiatry” authorisation may organise the care of adolescents and young adults in the same unit to enable a transition to adult psychiatry. This unit is formally organised. The authorisation holder must also hold a “child and adolescent psychiatry” authorisation or must have signed an agreement with a “child and adolescent psychiatry” authorisation holder.

La prise en charge des adolescents et des jeunes adultes peut être organisée, par le titulaire de l’autorisation “ psychiatrie de l’adulte ”, dans une même unité pour permettre une transition vers la psychiatrie de l’adulte. Cette unité fait l’objet d’une organisation formalisée. Le titulaire de l’autorisation doit être également titulaire de l’autorisation “ psychiatrie de l’enfant et de l’adolescent ” ou doit avoir conclu une convention avec un titulaire de l’autorisation “ psychiatrie de l’enfant et de l’adolescent ”.
