Article R6123-209 of the French Public Health Code

Authorisation under the “bariatric surgery” modality referred to in 3° of the I of article R. 6123-202 may only be granted if the holder has authorisation under the “surgery on adult patients” modality referred to in 1° of the I of article R. 6123-202 and the specific “visceral and digestive surgery” therapeutic practice referred to in 6° of the II of the same article.

When the holder of the “bariatric surgery” authorisation takes charge of children, he has an authorisation under the “paediatric surgery” modality provided for in 2° of the I of article R. 6123-202.

L’autorisation sous la modalité ” chirurgie bariatrique ” mentionnée au 3° du I de l’article R. 6123-202 ne peut être accordée que si le titulaire dispose de l’autorisation sous la modalité 3 chirurgie pratiquée chez des patients adultes 3 mentionnée au 1° du I de l’article R. 6123-202 et de la pratique thérapeutique spécifique ” chirurgie viscérale et digestive ” mentionnée au 6° du II du même article.

Lorsque le titulaire de l’autorisation sous la modalité ” chirurgie bariatrique ” prend en charge des enfants, il dispose d’une autorisation sous la modalité ” chirurgie pédiatrique ” prévue au 2° du I de l’article R. 6123-202.
