Article 169 of the French Code of civil procedure

In the event of the intervention of a third party to the proceedings, the court registrar shall immediately notify the judge or the technician responsible for carrying out the investigative measure.

The intervener is given the opportunity to present his observations on the operations that have already been carried out.

En cas d’intervention d’un tiers à l’instance, le greffier de la juridiction en avise aussitôt le juge ou le technicien chargé d’exécuter la mesure d’instruction.

L’intervenant est mis en mesure de présenter ses observations sur les opérations auxquelles il a déjà été procédé.
