Article D217-2 of the French Consumer Code

I.-For the purposes of the first paragraph of article L. 217-22:

1° The contact details of the guarantor also include, where applicable, an indication of the guarantor’s electronic address or any other relevant digital means;

2° The content of the contract shall mention any exclusions or any factors excluding the commercial guarantee;

II.-For the purposes of the third paragraph of the same article L. 217-22, the commercial guarantee is entitled: “commercial guarantee contract” and its content specifies how it applies in addition to the rights enjoyed by the consumer under the legal guarantee of conformity throughout the duration of the latter.

Article D217-2

I.-Pour l’application du premier alinéa de l’article L. 217-22 :

1° Les coordonnées du garant comportent également, s’il y a lieu, l’indication de son adresse électronique ou de tout autre moyen numérique pertinent ;

2° Le contenu du contrat mentionne les exclusions ou tout facteur d’exclusion de la garantie commerciale.

II.-Pour l’application du troisième alinéa du même article L. 217-22, la garantie commerciale est intitulée : “ contrat de garantie commerciale ” et son contenu précise en quoi elle s’applique en sus des droits dont bénéficie le consommateur au titre de la garantie légale de conformité pendant toute la durée de celle-ci.
