Article D2223-55-17 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

In application of the decree no. 2007-1845 of 26 December 2007 relating to the lifelong professional training of local authority civil servants, advanced training provided during the course of a career at the request of the employer or the civil servant entitles a local authority civil servant who undergoes one of the training courses provided for in this sub-paragraph to continued remuneration.

His training time is deemed to be service time in the administration.

For the application of the provisions of this sub-paragraph to local authority civil servants, training expenses are borne by the local authority that employs the civil servant.

Article D2223-55-17

En application du décret n° 2007-1845 du 26 décembre 2007relatif à la formation professionnelle tout au long de la vie des agents de la fonction publique territoriale, la formation de perfectionnement dispensée en cours de carrière à la demande de l’employeur ou de l’agent ouvre le droit, pour l’agent de la fonction publique territoriale qui suit l’une des formations prévues au présent sous-paragraphe, au maintien de la rémunération.

Son temps de formation vaut temps de service dans l’administration.

Pour l’application des dispositions du présent sous-paragraphe aux agents de la fonction publique territoriale, les dépenses de formation sont prises en charge par la collectivité qui emploie l’agent.
